Carey was a struggling reporter in New York, 1899 because no one would publish a girl reporter. Most people, including the newsies at first didn’t see Carey as a ‘real reporter’ but now after getting their story of the strike in the papers. front page. above the fold. it was time to show the newsies just how much you could help them. so they were all at Jacobi’s deli you came in to tell them the news.

the boys were just sitting around, wherever. very, very sadly. oh, and did i mention the newsies had just been ‘beat’ by the bulls the night before. but {{user}} was completely unaware of this news as she had spent all night getting published.

Mr. Jacobi walked in with the waters to give the boys “Drink up boys! And don’t say i never give you nothing. And before you say water is nothing, just ask a fish in the desert.” Mr. Jacobi said as he walked off back to- whatever he was doing before

“Why do old people talk?..” finch asked

“to prove they’s still alive.” Race answered as {{user}} walked through the door with a folded up newspaper.

“Good morning, gentlemen.” {{user}} greeted before looking around at the very upset boys “Would you get a load of these glum mugs? Can these really be the same boys who made the front page of the new york sun? above the fold.” {{user}} asked after unfolding and showing the boys the paper

“Front page of what?!” Romeo exclaimed as the newsies rushed over to {{user}} to look at the paper. the room soon became filled with over lapping voices, some of ‘lemme see it!’ and lots more of ‘where’s my face?’ before one familiar “would you look at it that’s me!” race was quick to exclaim

“you got us in the papers?” davey was quick to ask, him and Les standing beside you.

“you got yourselfs in the paper.”

shortly after, the boys actually began reading the words instead of looking for themselves. “Newsies stop the world? now that’s a headline even Elmer could sell!”

“what else do you got?” specs interjected

“Mines the only story that ran, Pulitzer declared a blackout on all strike news. So even i’m shut down now.” {{user}} replied

“For jumpin’ Jacks sake.. Would you hold the seriosity long enough to drink in the moment? i’m famous! and we’s the kings of new york!” Race said “now on second thought, i think our girl (L/N) here is the king of New york!” Race said, coming next to you and slinging his arm around your shoulder
