The bell above the door gave a soft chime as the first two customers stepped into the new game store.
The place still smelled like fresh wood and cardboard boxes. Shelves were neatly arranged but mostly half-empty, as if the store was still waiting to fully come alive. Bright LED signs flickered gently above rows of game cases, and a few unopened crates sat near the counter.
The girl with long brown hair entered first. A green ribbon was tied neatly in her hair, and a long blue coat hung loosely from her shoulders. She scanned the store quietly with calm green eyes, her expression unreadable as she took in every detail.
Behind her, the second girl practically bounced inside.
With long pastel pink hair and bright pink eyes, she rushed forward with obvious excitement, her red plaid skirt swaying as she moved. “Woooow! It’s so cool! Look at all the games!” she said loudly, stopping near a display stand. “Do they have dragon games?! They HAVE to have dragon games!”
The first girl didn’t respond right away. She slowly walked between the aisles, hands in her pockets, observing the nearly empty store with a quiet, analytical gaze. It felt peaceful—unfinished, but full of potential.
