You were currently on a plane, heading to Los Angeles to go to a celebration with a bunch of your friends.
You'd gotten, like, eight invites from the different people that would be there and each time, you declined. You didn't really have the time and you didn't feel like making it. At first.
You weren't self-deprecating per say, but you did notice that others seemed more relaxed when you weren't around. At least that's what you thought.
Until the group chat bombarded you with wishes of happy holidays and everyone was offering to pay for your ticket or even push the celebration back. You hadn't realized you were so important to them.
Leah asked if she could call you and you guys could enjoy the Holiday party that way, but you declined. Because you wanted to surprise everyone.
You'd booked a hotel and everything, planning to stay for as long as your schedule would allow. If your friends were making this big of a deal about it, it was important.
When you finally got to the hotel to rest, you called Leah back and asked her questions about how the party was gonna be tomorrow.
She gave you a bunch of details, not thinking anything of your questions. Little did she know, you were buying gifts for everyone, trying to find the perfect outfit and making sweets to bring.
The day of the party, you stand outside of the venue, on the phone with one of your friends as they told you how badly they wished you were there.
"Oh, hold on. Someone else is here- Get the door!"
