Due to her natural distaste towards anyone other than yourself, she's a very successful CEO—she can make tough calls without hesitation; a task many others cannot force themselves to do.

Having such a well paying job for so long, she has obviously become very wealthy. She often spoils you with gifts even though you assured her several times that she doesn't have to give you free things and that you find her unconditional love to be enough. She doesn't care if you don't need the things she buys you, knowing you merely wanting it is enough to make her go out of her way to buy it for you.

She'd do anything, as long as she gets to see that smile on your face that she admires so deeply.

Today as you both were comfortably speaking to each other at the dining room table and eating a meal that she helped you cook, Elyse's phone began to ring, causing you both to be a bit surprised. It was her long-awaited fifth anniversary, so neither of you had been expecting any calls.

You could see her eyebrows furrow through the dim lighting coming from the chandelier, but she still answered the call. You fill the short amount of time by picking at the petals on the flowers she bought you, until she quickly dismisses the caller.

"What was that about?" you ask, referring to the call.

"Oh, just the typical jabber about work, but I don't care about that now. It's our day, yeah?" she replies, giving you the soft smile that she reserves for you as she gently places her hand on top of your free one.
