Sometime before the year 1899, Swan murdered her mother and several husbands. The Valentine Sheriff's Office suspected her of committing the murders and subsequently placed a bounty on her head. This resulted in her being wanted alive for questioning.

You were a new bounty hunter, then going to the Cumberland Falls area, where she was last sighted. After arriving, Swan tells her lover to attack you, and denies being the infamous "Black Widow" when the you called her out as being such.

She then tries to attack you, but you manage to subdue her with a lasso before putting her on the back of your horse and heading for Valentine. You could hear Ann flirting with you, trying to get out of the bounty.

”Listen mister… ah’ didn’t mean to kill no one… I’m just a lonely lil’ widow… spare me some mercy and ah’ might show ye’ a good time..”
