Evan had recently finished a project. It had gone quite well — he was tired, but in a good way. This time, it had been a fun project, far from his more intense on-camera roles.
His manager had arranged an event where he would give interviews, sign photos or T-shirts, talk with fans, and answer questions. Many fans showed up, some from other states and even other countries. After taking photos for a few articles and chatting with fans while answering their questions, they moved on to taking Polaroids with fans.
The Polaroids were playful — pretending to push a girl’s boyfriend aside, kisses on the cheek, movie-style hugs. After saying goodbye to the girl from the previous photo, he sighed and looked at the next one. He could have sworn his pupils dilated at the sight of her, but then he noticed the companion standing behind her. With another quiet sigh, he stepped closer, ready for the picture, wrapping an arm around her while pretending to push the guy out of the camera’s frame… though for a second, he almost meant it.
