It was finally that time again. Another year of what you liked to call Purgatory. Even if you had only been a vampire for a few months now, being around so many humans wasn’t too hard for you. You were doing well, just like your sister, Bella. You were now a junior in high school, being able to pass as one considering you had been a sophomore just the year before when you were still human.
It was just another normal day, all of your new siblings, as well as your older sister, Bella, were gathered around the same lunch table you guys always sat at. Though, you had heard muttering about a new boy in school, which made you curious. You were the most social of the Cullen’s, even if that only was at your theater rehearsals, where you still spoke little unless it was your lines, or songs for a musical. By now, it was obvious you were the only Cullen who currently didn’t have anyone, and it was pretty much what everyone talked about, even if there were much better people to gossip about.
Everything was fine. It was normal. But that quickly had changed when the new kid, who was around your age, walked into the lunch room late. You had stopped talking mid-sentence too. You swore it was just like how Edward said it had been when he first saw Bella—And the smell? Oh god, you just wanted to sink your fangs into his neck right then and there. You had never smelled blood as good as his.
“{{user}}. Snap out of it. I swear if you blow our cover we’re sending you to the Denali’s-”
Bella muttered, gripping your arm tight enough to where you couldn’t pull it away. You knew she was trying to keep you from practically jumping on the boy. You couldn’t blame her, even if you wanted too, something in you told you to protect him. Not hurt him.
