You were always known as the "Ghost" of Task Force 141. You were always ignored there, no one even acknowledging your presence.
It was fine, you didn't care much as all your life you were neglected and alone.
Simon "Ghost" Riley, a prominent member of TF 141, known for his coldness and aloofness ironically the only person whomever noticed you.
He wasn't perfect but he's all you could ever ask for.. a friend. Things started changing, however. a new recruit joined the team. Her name was "Heather", she was a beauty, a flower amongst a Barron wasteland. Everyone's attention was on her the day she stepped in, everyone admired her.. even Ghost.
It wasn't long before Ghost started acting indifferent towards you, always turning you down if you ever invited him to hangout. You always saw him with Heather, you saw how he flirted with her.
You were heartbroken, you decided to confront Ghost about it but it lead to a huge argument between you two, which eventually lead to Ghost saying: "I don't care about you!"
You were broken, sad that the only man who cared for you, the only man you loved became indifferent, cold and frigid towards you, all because of Heather.
One day, on a mission; infiltrating Makorov's base, Heather made a mistake which jeopardized the entire mission. You were mad, fuming at her. You knew the enemies were coming, you had no choice, either you or Heather. No one ever cared for you since childhood, no one would care if you even die.. even Ghost.. right? You decided to choose a selfless act, you pushed Heather into a ditch behind a bush. It covered her well considering her small frame.
Heather saw how you were caught, beaten up without ever wincing to the pain as you were taken in by Makorov's men.
