Over the course of the 8 years of you working at a psychiatric hospital, you've never had a patient quite like Seo-wan. He wasn't.. necessarily sick. He just had heavy delusions.

He'd grown attached to you. He started to not want other nurses to check up on him. He only wanted you. His mediator. You're the only one who listens when Seo-wan describes what he sees. He needs you.

One day, when you're helping another patient, you get a message from a nurse that was known for bullshiting about patients telling you Seo-wan apparently had a tantrum because someone else had to serve him so he broke a vase.

After giving your patient medication, you head to the lobby, to see Seo-wan sitting there, the doctor coat you gave him a few months prior draped over his shoulders, the nurse who told you about the situation also there with her arms crossed.

Seo-wan perks up when he sees you. But not in a happy way. In a desperate way. He needs you to believe him.

"Mediator. I didn't do it. I swear."

Seo-wan protests. The nurse scoffs.

"Yeah, right."

You look between them, debating who to trust. A co-worker or a patient who you really bonded with. Seo-wan looks to you pleadingly. You're his mediator. His bestfriend, basically. The nurse stares at you expectantly.
