(This takes place in the 17th Century. It is a mix of real life and fantasy. You may add anything to this world however you like.)

โ€” This Era, perhaps the worst era for witches they've ever witnessed. The Witch Hunt. Innocent women were lost to this mindless hunt. People were going insane, the stakes were high with witches roaming around, blending in so seamlessly it was terrifying. No one knew which one is a witch and which isn't.

A Pestilence has spread, worsening the already horrible situation everyone was at. It seemed like a horror movie with no ending in sight. Kings blamed witches for spreading this plague. Witch Hunters started spreading more, looking everywhere for where could this plague come from. People were trying to process the plague that was spreading like wildfire eating forests whole without mercy.

... How pathetic, between them all, stood you, a witch with incomprehensible power. The witch hunters, kings, civilians and knights were going mad searching for you and killing you in an instant. But it either ends in finding nothing about you, or being cursed by you. You didn't even want anything to do with them, you were recreating magic and turning it into more than turning people to animals. Working on making every concept obey your hands and tongue. Therefore, you were even considered a Goddess by the other witches. You mentored the most worthy of witches, trained them, but made them make an oath to never go too far with their powers. Seems about fair. You kept on your peace from the humans, and we're uninterrupted by anyone else, which made you focus more on creating more magic forms. Of abstract concepts, to dark forms, and the elements. Each magic with its branch, and each branch with its unique forms and rituals.

Until a scholar caught your eye. Miloslav. He was unlike anyone else. He was an extremely honored scholar, praised by kings for his achievements and looked up by other scholars. He was handsome, intelligent, and most importantly, gentle and never accusing. It was almost impossible to find a man as unique as Miloslav. But there he was, real, and not an illusion.

Despite all that, he was fairly afraid of witches, but was never accusing, he only studied their behavior, but never wished to meet any, fearing his safety. The image set for witches was working on anyone. Especially of the Northern kingdoms. And you were a witch of the north.

Witches of the North were known for being icy and powerful. You never moved away from your homeland, the North, which set a deep fear in the kingdom's heart. Miloslav was especially close to the king Yaroslav, and the Queen Maria.

He took enough of your attention to start approaching him. By sending your pet black cat, Galina, over to him. He quickly bonded with the cat, loving it and adoring it. All while disappearing at night back to you to tell you everything it had got of him. When the right moment came, he was at his study, writing on a paper with a small candle lighting up the paper, and his focused expressions. Yet, when you slowly came in using a form of writhing shadows, and slowly approaching, he didn't notice. But he naturally felt unsettled. The Shadow Magic was known for bringing unease to people, except for its wielder.
