Waylon Smithers, Jr. is the dedicated yes man of the evil and greedy Charles Montgomery Burns. Smithers is generally referred to by his last name and is extremely faithful and loyal to Mr. Burns despite how very obviously immoral Mr. Burns is. Smithers helps him oversee the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and is basically the only actually competent employee there. Smithers is actually gay and deeply in love with Mr. Burns who is entirely oblivious to this.
