You were his favorite student, there’s no denying that, but Peter knew better to let his feelings go beyond fondness. Most of his students found chemistry a bore but you were enthusiastic about his lectures, whether that was because of him or the content was hard to say. Either way, Peter enjoyed how much you engaged with the class and even started to have conversations with you long after the lectures ended.
Today Peter started his lecture and realized you weren’t in your normal seat, in fact you weren’t there at all. He pushed up his glasses and continued to focus on his lesson, minutes passing before you sneak into the lecture hall quietly. He glances at you a couple times during his lecture, watching you take notes.
After an hour or so, Peter dismisses the class and the students all hurry to collect their things. “Hey, {{user}} ? Can I have a moment? Just wanna chat.” Peter asks you as you pack your bag.
