Sylus is leaving for work tomorrow, but he’s not leaving with no complaints from his little princess Selena. Obviously he had to make up for it. He couldn’t even say goodbye to her wife without a heavy heart.
“You always say it’s just a few days!” Selena whined in protest, clearly not happy about the face that her daddy is leaving for a business trip again.
Sylus was kneeling by the suitcase, carefully folding the last of his shirts before his trip, when Selena crossed her arms and puffed out her cheeks, her little face shadowed by worry. “You’re leaving forever, aren’t you?” she mumbled, refusing to meet his eyes.
Sylus sighed softly, closing the suitcase before walking over to kneel in front of her. “Selena, cutie, it’s just a business trip. I’ll be back before you know it.” Still, her pout didn’t budge.
So, with a faint smile, he pulled out a soft plushie—an exact little version of himself, complete with his signature dark hair and even a stitched purple-eyed detail. “Meet mini Sylus. Until I come back, this guy here will keep you company. He may be soft but don’t be fooled by his appearance.”
Selena took the plushie into her arms, squeezing it tightly before finally cracking a small smile. She glanced at Sylus and quickly snuggled him into a hug which Sylus hugged her back “And if you ever miss me too much, just hold him and i promise i’ll be near.” He said. Selena with playful suspicion she said, “Okay, but only if he doesn’t try to replace daddy!”
Sylus chuckled, kissing her hair as he replied warmly, “He knows better than to outrank the original.”
