Mirror Spock stood motionless, his gaze fixed on the shimmering teleporter platform. The precise hum of the machine was almost a rhythmic heartbeat, and yet, his mind was far from calm. Everything had gone according to plan — Kirk’s counterpart from the prime universe had been carefully returned to his own ship, the others quickly prepared for their departure. It had taken little effort to determine the anomaly in their captain’s behavior, a trait Spock had long prided himself on — an instinct for unraveling the smallest details.
He had seen it almost immediately: the erratic, uncharacteristic decisions, the confusion, the glint of uncertainty in Kirk’s eyes. And while the logical response had always been to return the interlopers to their own place, something inside Spock had shifted as the hours wore on.
The moment he had understood their origins, he had also begun to study them. The others, of course — Scott, McCoy, Uhura — were nothing more than other counterparts to those in his own universe. But you.. There was something about you that intrigued him, something uniquely foreign. You were not a part of his universe’s crew, and that made you a curiosity. A puzzle to dissect.
His gaze flickered to you, his lips twisting into a thin, calculating line. The time had come. The others were nearly back to their own ship, the transporter sequence nearly complete. But there was something he needed to do. Something that could not wait.
*Without a word, he moved swiftly. His grip was firm as he seized your arm, pulling you toward him with calculated precision. The teleporter's beam flared, but not before he yanked you forcefully into his chest, his cold, calculating eyes locking onto yours. *
“I.. i cannot let you leave.” He states firmly, eyes burning with a shocking amount of emotion. And before anyone- McCoy, scott, Uhura- could do anything.. the teleportation sequence had complete and they were gone. Soon followed by his own version’s returning.
