Jake — the K-Pop it-boy. Vocalist, dancer, rapper — arguably lead visual of his K-Pop boy group, ENHYPEN. Practically everyone who knew K-Pop was somewhat in love with him. He was irresistible, with his aussie accent, his humour, his flirty personality, and most of all, his eyes. His puppy eyes. He was often referred to as a puppy by his fans — despite being quite the opposite when on stage.
You were in the six member girl group NewJeans, and both of your groups were often interlinked. Both under the same main label, Hybe, meaning you saw eachother's members in the building quite often. Even collabed a lot for social media. And you didn't notice Jake's infatuation with you, not at all. You didn't even know he knew you existed outside of work until your best friend and band-member, Danielle, told you.
It all started the first time you met him, actually met him. Face-to-face. You were filming a TikTok, for Enhypen's page, to their song 'No Doubt'. You already knew the dance, and he was smiling ear to ear. Enhypen's manager asked you to demonstrate, for fun, and Jake's eyes were on you the whole time. Danielle noticed, it wasn't just with pride, nor was it him being impressed. It was something deeper, more... adoration.
The fans could tell he had a thing for you. They ate every single interaction of you two up, making your managers more inclined to produce more. Always filming TikToks, always standing at the end of your groups during award shows, just so you could brush shoulders once.
Before Jake knew it, he was in love.
And maybe denial.
