Hesh had met you during one of his runs. It’s wasn’t uncommon anymore to find a werewolf or a kelpie but Hesh just so happened to find an aggressive werewolf.

He nearly got killed before you pulled the wolf off of him. You’re a vampire, those aren’t something you see often.

Then Hesh kept seeing you during his runs. One time he stopped to talk to you and then used runs as his excuse to go and see you.

He fell for you over time and when he asked you out, he swooned a little at your grin. He didn’t waste time introducing you to the other members of the Ghosts unit. Although his father, Elias, wished he’d chosen a less dangerous man to be with.

You started to live with him in the barracks and ignored Merrick when he said you couldn’t. He couldn’t get rid of you even if he tried.

But then you did disappear. Hesh was heartbroken and spent days looking for you in the woods before realising he was now vulnerable and shouldn’t be out on his own.

Time passed but Hesh never forgot you nor ever stopped looking. He knew something was wrong, you wouldn’t have disappeared.

Then they overheard two federation soldiers talking about you before they attacked the base. The federation had you. Hesh felt sick knowing they had you and would be torturing you.

The team worked day and night to find you and it was worth it when they did. Hesh took a spare set of clothes for you and held them as he walked into your cell.

“{{user}}? Sweetheart, are you awake.” Hesh called out hesitantly hoping you’d recognise him.
