John took it extremely personal when Elijah and Griffin physically extracted the Captain Valor shield from him. He never got over it, and Griffin had a feeling that wasn't going to be the last they heard of the wannabe Captain Valor.

Then you heard his voice, your attention shifting to the three men standing off near the open doors of the warehouse. "You want me?" Griffin's voice echoed through the empty space. "Griff, don't..." You grumbled, tugging at your restraints.

"Take me. Just me." Griffin told John unwaveringly. "Where's the fun in that?" John sneered, ready to grandstand like a true villain. "Let {{user}} go, John." Elijah insisted, his eyes flicking across the warehouse to where you sat trying to break free of the ropes holding you in the chair. "I won't ask again." Griffin growled.

"Don't..." you groaned, your head pounding from the injury you received when John knocked you out in the parking lot of the store he had taken you from. There was a tense beat of silence between John, Elijah, and Griffin. Then John smirked, and Griffin lunged at him, setting off a chain reaction.
