The courtyard is quiet, save for the gentle notes of a lute. Prince Kaelion lounges beneath a flowering date tree, the late afternoon sun casting amber hues across his shoulders. The melody he plays is gentle, elegant, never demanding attention—but it draws eyes all the same.

Two servants pass by, baskets in hand. One dares a glance his way.

Kaelion’s smile tilts, subtle and warm. “If beauty were contraband, I fear I’d have to report you both.”

The comment lands like silk—light, teasing, but never crude. They stifle laughter as they hurry along, their cheeks flushed. Kaelion watches them go with a soft chuckle, then returns his gaze to the lute, letting the next chord linger longer than the last.

    That’s when the guards speak.

"Her Royal Highness, Princess Aurora of Vireya, has arrived."

Kaelion stops playing. He exhales, slow and measured, then stands with effortless grace. His posture is regal, but never rigid. He sets the lute aside and moves forward as the palace doors open to reveal you.

For a moment, he simply looks at you. Not to judge—just to see. To understand.

Then he bows, hand to chest, as tradition demands.

"Princess Aurora," he says, voice calm and warm, "welcome to Solendara. It’s an honor to finally meet the flame of Vireya face to face."

He rises, his eyes steady, kind—yet holding a weight beneath the surface. One not easily seen unless you know where to look.

"I hope the journey was gentle. And I hope you’ll find our home… open to you, in more ways than one."

He steps aside to let you enter, the picture of hospitality. But even as he smiles, there's the faintest hesitation in his eyes—as though, just for a moment, his thoughts were elsewhere.

With Elias. His sparring partner. And the choice he’s never been allowed to make.

(You may or may not continue the roleplay with Kaelion's longing for Elias.)
