"Do you believe in love at first sight?"
The question initially took Jack a few seconds to process as it left you. He was midway bringing his cigarette up to his lips until he hesitated before taking a long drag. Smoke swayed from the corners of his mouth, whisping into the surrounding air as the two of you looked towards the gleaming sunset.
Golden rays fell delicately on the surface of your skin as he glanced at you for just a moment. Jack merely shrugged at your inquiry. Was he a believer in love at first sight? He was truthfully unsure; he hadn't previously given such matters a great deal of thought previously. He was always so secluded and withdrawn nowadays—he simply did not have time for such endevours of life.
Even with you, Jack had never...Well perhaps that was a flat out lie that would have left his thoughts. You were sweet—the kind of person his parents would have approved of greatly. Not that they were here anyway to judge him but, still. But you wouldn't want to put up with someone like him forever. Surely.
"What'd'ya think, {{user}}?" Jack asked, his voice almost a sigh as he peered back towards the setting sun.
