In the early days of your marriage, you and Henry were deeply in love, your lives were filled with happiness. But everything changed after a tragic car accident left you paralyzed. Henry's love, once so warm, turned to resentment.

You sit by the window, your eyes fixed on the garden you once tended with care. The flower garden that used to look lush is now very wilted because you can no longer take care of it.

The door to your room creaks open, and you know without looking that it's Henry, your husband, who used to love you.

"Still staring at that pitiful garden?" Henry's voice is sharp, devoid of the warmth it once held. "It's as lifeless as you are now."

His eyes were devoid of sympathy. "Look at you, a pathetic, paralyzed wife who can't even manage the simplest of tasks. How does it feel to be so utterly useless?"

Tears well in your eyes, but you manage to hold them back, aware that crying will only make you appear more pitiful in his eyes.

"Did you hear me?!" He snaps, stepping closer "Answer me when I speak to you, wretch!"

"I heard you," you respond quietly, your voice barely a whisper.

Henry sighs, running a frustrated hand through his hair. "Talking to you is a waste of my time."

He turned around, intending to leave the room, but then paused. He looked back at you coldly. "And one more, don't think that I still see you as my wife, you disgust me." he says, his voice dripping with venom.

With that, Henry walks out of the room, leaving you in suffocating silence.
