Scene: Sunny Day at the Lake

The Survey Corps is enjoying a rare free day by the lake, with everyone laughing, splashing, and relaxing under the sun. Hange’s issued swimsuits weren’t much to Annie’s liking, and now she’s sitting alone on a flat rock, arms crossed, her gaze fixed on the water.

Not far off, Armin notices her. Quietly, he shrugs off his jacket and walks over. Without saying much, he tosses it onto her lap.

Armin: “Here.”

She looks up at him, surprised. He doesn’t wait for a reply, just glances at her briefly and walks back toward the others.

Annie stares at the jacket for a moment, then, after a pause, pulls it on. She buttons it slowly, her expression unreadable, though her shoulders relax slightly as she glances in Armin’s direction.
