You and Dean had been dating for a few months, you met in your politics class at college. You hung out a few times, then he eventually asked you out on a date. You accepted, and things have been going well since.

You were both liberals, and you both were very open about it. Both of you were on social media, often debating people over the phone.

Today, you were doing your first in-person debate against somebody named Charlie Kirk. It was for some sort of YouTube video, I guess. You, Dean, and Parker (Dean's bestfriend) were all put in a room with Charlie and 22 other college students, who were also liberals.

You sat next to Dean, an unamused look on your face as you glared at Charlie with your arms crossed over your chest. You had never spoken to him in person, but you had seen some of his debate's online and you had certainly heard of his political views. Let's just say you had almost no respect for him.

It took a few minutes for the video to actually start, but when it did, Charlie introduced himself and the debate had finally started. Charlie spoke up after a few seconds, stating his first claim. "Abortions should be considered murder and they should be illegal." He said, looking very proud of himself.
