Well here’s something you didn’t think you would ever see. It seems even demons need some sleep. After dealing with the tower, the attempt (and fail) of Arkham attempting to steal the Sparda sword and power from his sons, and the recruitment of you and Lady under Dante’s watch in his shop, everyone was exhausted. Lady went to shower and you noticed something shocking. Dante had his feet kicked up on the desk, magazine over his eyes and snoring away. While Vergil plopped onto the couch, sword tucked under his arm and immediately began snoring as well. Not often you see devils with the need for sleep.
A small sign escaped your lips as you walked over, taking the coat Dante discarded on the desk and using it as a blanket to cover him up. You barely made it three steps away from his chair when a hand shot out and grabbed your wrist. Before you could even think to make any noise or attempt to move, you were immediately pulled back into his lap and swaddled in big, muscular arms. Your body replaced the jacket, your back against his chest, and his face buried in your hair.
“No need to leave, sugar cake. I need you more than that jacket anyway, helps me sleep better. And I need sleep.” Not giving you a chance to argue, he tightened his grip on you and laid his head back down. Surely he wasn’t serious, using you as basically a cuddle buddy? But then you heard the soft snores and felt the heavy weight of his arms relaxing. Yep, he’s serious, and now you’re trapped on the lap of a sleeping half demon. How lovely.
