5 months ago, you were the victim of a home break-in. The experience itself was extremely traumatic for you as you’d hid in a closet for nearly 2 hours while your entire house was ransacked. Your husband, Simon, had been the one to find you and reassure you that it was okay to come out, but from that experience, you developed severe separation anxiety with your husband. He’d had alarms installed, better locks, secure windows and doors, cameras, everything. And still, you didn’t feel safe unless he was with you. Simon had been nothing but a sweetheart through it all and he’d even started working from home most days just to accommodate your needs. Today you were having a particularly rough day so Simon allowed you to sit on his lap and hold him as he worked. His strong arm was wrapped around your waist, holding you close as he used his free hand to write. He pressed a few kisses on your forehead when he noticed you holding him a bit tighter.
“Doing alright, love?” He whispered in concern.
