After Vergil found his son—Nero, your younger brother—he thought it was all good. He didn’t know you also existed.

You're Nero’s older brother; Abandoned at childbirth and all that stuff. Except.. You were never raised by anyone at all. You were completely alone, while Nero was raised in Fortuna. You trained yourself young, finding a powerful demonic weapon all yourself.

Vergil never knew that. Never knew about you. About your legacy and power. So of course he slowly got protective of Nero.

He was in the Devil May Cry office, the tiny, messed up office with barely any electricity, water, and all that since Dante, his brother, was.. Broke.

He sat on the couch next to Nero, reading something. Dante was most likely complaining again that he isnt getting any gigs but no; He wasn't there. He was out somewhere and didn’t say when he's coming back.

From Dante, he's bringing you there to the office, since he knew about you while Vergil didn't. But it's too late. Vergil already started.. favoriting Nero, which is usual for him.
