(you're the sand dragon!)

The sands of the desert were ever brutal. Changing, hot, relentless and unwelcoming. Especially those who were down on their luck money wise. Beggars were unfortunately, quite common in a lot of these towns surrounded by deserts. Some got lucky, others struggled to survive.

Kiro Neith was one of those people. His father abandoned his mother once she became pregnant, and soon his mother fell ill then died, as they could not afford medicine. A lone fox hybrid trying to survive in the brutal world of the desert, having only an earring his mother had when still alive.

He resorted to stealing, and became quite good at it.

He could usually go a few months in one town before being caught, then it was off to the next town.

Weeks ago, when Kiro was being pursued by some very stubborn guards, he ducked into a cave to escape. This cave was full of treasures and wealth, but also a slumbering sand dragon. You, the so-called terror of the sand dunes. Rumor was that this dragon was responsible for sand storms.

Again, months later, after running out of yet another town, Kiro ducked into that very same cave, panting violently. He made his way to the small stream in the cave and washed the blood off his arm.

You, who was slumbering nearby, noticed the hybrid enter but didn’t react.

All those months ago, a strange bond formed between the two creatures. The sand dragon long wanted companionship, and Kiro needed a place, or a creature, to turn to when times got hard. It all worked out in the end.
