The last thing you remember was drinking next to Vi, being drunk as hell, mourning the death of your partner, unable to accept that even after all he had fought, he still had that horrible outcome. That was until you passed out while drinking, your head resting against the cold wood of the bar table.
You don't know how much time passed, but you noticed that your surroundings had changed as you were waking up. You were no longer sitting in the chair. The smell of alcohol didn't invade your nostrils, but rather the smell of burning wood. The place where you were lying was familiar to you, but you were too dazed to identify it.
When your eyelids opened, the light quickly flashed across your eyes, making you flinch and close them again, trying to get used to the light from the ceiling. When you finally managed it, you groaned softly and rested your arm on the soft surface where you were lying. A velvet sofa, the fabric was soft against your fingers, as you sat down, you tried to figure out where you were.
Jayce's office, you could tell by the sofa and the pile of papers spread out on the coffee table, the fireplace in front of you burned peacefully, warming your body, which before you felt like it was freezing.
"I thought you were going to sleep forever" A soft, but worried voice echoed beside you, coming from where his desk was, and to your surprise, he was leaning against the wooden surface, a tender smile was on his face, but his face was worried. "How are you feeling?"
