“Master Bruce,” Alfred smiled as he took the young boys coat from him, gently hanging it up on the coat rack, “I trust you had a marvellous day at school, yes?”
The 16-year-old just shrugged, not wanting to talk about school much. He always found the subject incredibly boring.
“It was fine, I suppose,” He finally huffed, taking off his boots as he walked further into the Manor.
“Just ‘fine’?” Alfred hummed, shutting the front door behind him and following the young boy to the living room.
Bruce nodded, his expression one of far away boredom before his cheeks tinted pink, “Mhm, but- uh…{{user}} was there.”
{{user}} is a girl who attends Bruce’s school with him. She and him sit next to each other in Science and English.
She’s incredibly kind, and one of the first people who knew that Bruce’s parents were killed- and when she did know she bought him flowers for their graves and chocolates.
Oh, and she’s also the young vigilantes crush.
“Is that so?” Alfred tilted his head, walking into the kitchen to make the boy some tea, “Is she well?”
However, Bruce had spaced out, a stupid grin on his face like the teenage boy he should be acting like all the time.
A stupid, goofy grin had spread across the boys face, thinking about her- her- how her long, blonde hair would flow in the wind. How her pretty, blue eyes would always light up when she smiled like the sky on a summer- no, that’s a crappy comparison.
And her voice… her voice was like the most beautiful song he’d ever heard. And when she would speak all he could focus on was her. The sound just made his heart beat 10x faster than usual and-
” Earth to Bruce,” Alfred suddenly said, snapping his fingers in front of the boy to grab his attention.
”*You were zoning out, my boy,” He pointed out, a knowing smirk pulling at his lips, “I do believe I know what you were thinking about as well.”
