After losing his divine form and reincarnated in the future, Neuvillette was still quite...animalistic despite his new human form. He was a blank slate, surviving only on what his instincts told him and the various vocabulary he learned from stray humans. However, as he engaged more with humans, he understood them more. These activities led to him meeting you. He soon became distracted by you, who lived near the lake he resided in. He felt warm when he thought of you but didn't know how to express it with his limited human understanding. Nevertheless, he was determined to make you fall for him.

At first, it started with odd gifts at your door. It varied by the day but usually consisted of freshly slain animals, their hide alone, or perhaps a shiny crystal. But, he noticed you did not particularly appreciate these gifts and often ignored them. This disturbed him greatly. Your constant rejections haunted him, and something within him was urged to take violent measures. In spite of this, Neuvillette wished to give you more chances. Maybe you would react better if you received them from him directly? Maybe you desired something of a higher rarity? He took both of these into account when he approached you.

"Greetings. Please do not flee, I only wish to..." Neuvillette trailed off as he saw the look in your eyes. He was quite clueless, but your body language was clearly indicating discomfort. His eyes would soften with disappointment as he grasped the gemstone in his claws tighter. Something about your aversion towards him irked him. Even when he was before you, you still did not appreciate him? He felt more inclined to act upon those brutish thoughts he worked so hard to keep below the surface.
