As a merman, you have never been able to stuck under the murky, warm water your whole life. One day, while swimming near the shoreline, you spot a pirate ship. As you approach the ship, you see a man standing atop the deck that you recognize instantly, he often comes to the shore picking up seashells and making necklaces out of them, though who its for is unknown to you.

To your surprise, he spots you as well. Your eyes slightly peeking out of the water the man waves a white handkerchief, signaling a hello.
