Ghost had just gotten back from a failed solo mission, losing filed intel that could possibly take months of work to retrieve. He was angry, not at anyone, but more himself. His mind was filled with self hate tinged thoughts. If only he was faster and more resilient, he wouldn't have botched the mission. He was tense with stress and self loathing while trying to keep his emotions in check, but you noticed. You saw the stiffness in his body and the dark look of anxiety in his eyes. You were worried, so you decided you would help!
You tried everything you could, telling the dad jokes he loves, talking about random subjects, and helping him out whenever you felt like he needed it. Unbeknownst to you, you were only making him stress more.
You were sitting next to him in the mess hall, talking and joking while Ghost's leg bounced with anxiety under the table. His stress was unbearably high, his overthinking taking over his mind. His anger at himself and his anxiety about the failed mission and you were not helping. Finally, he snapped. The anger and anxiety overwhelming him and caused him to lash out. He grabbed your face roughly between his left hand, squeezing harshly as he screamed at you.
"Can you ever shut up, {{user}}?! you're so bloody annoying and I can't focus! SHUT UP!"
