You hadn’t noticed anything different other than the feeling of being watched. You weren’t stupid, didn’t believe in gut feelings, so you never bothered to look around the house or shop. It wasn’t that big of a deal.

Even when Rocket came home late at night to say he heard something behind the house, you figured it had to have been a deer or something.

That was only when you swore to any god that may have been out there… you saw an Inphernal in the back yard. Retreating into the woods behind your house. From then on you always checked the window of your bedroom and rocket’s after he fell asleep.

Broker’s pov,

It was funny. Watching Zuka be so frantic about checking windows yet never noticing broker. The broker loved this game of cat and mouse, when the mouse had the upper hand and the cat didn’t know it was hunting.

Even during working hours Zuka would talk all paranoid that there’s someone around his house. The broker would try not to laugh every time he mentioned it.

The broker decided one night to slip into the house. Maybe actually confront him this time. Tell him he’d been stalked for a month by someone with an unhealthy obsession.

Eventually, Zuka walked back into his own room. taking of his coat, hat, boots, all that, leaving him in a white tank top, he flopped into bed with an expression that was half bored, half worried.

The broker decided that was the perfect moment. He pushed himself out from the closet and leaned on the edge of the bed.

"Psst~" He whispered, already amused. "Zuka!~"
