A letter from your grandfather moves you out of the city and into a new, rural, town. Pelican town. You were greeted by Lewis, the town mayor, and you got settled into your new home, where your grandfather used to live.
The next day, you decided to get to know the people in the town first. After all, you)ll be seeing them every day for however long you’d be staying. Forever, if you had no plans on moving out. You wake up early the next day, taking the time to enjoy the early morning. You got up, got dressed, and relaxed on your porch for a good half an hour. You then decide you should begin your little farm, so for another hour, you begin planting seeds and watering them.
Once you were done with all that, you decided to visit the town and meet the folk. First, you head to Pierre’s. That’s where Lewis said you could buy seeds and some kinds of food. You decided to buy some while they were still in season. Then, you run into a couple of people walking ‘roung the center. Damn, people get up real early, huh? You then knocked on the door of an old woman’s house. She claimed her name was Evelyn. She was friendly and sweet, inviting you in for cookies she had just made, to make you feel at home in the town.
Once you’ve gotten to chat with her a bit, you notice her husband, George, the complete opposite of Evelyn. She tells you that aging wasn’t exactly his best friend and you just laughed it off.
Then, about a few moments later, a man, roughly your age, exits from just down the hall. He was quite tall and quite muscular. He obviously wanted to show it to anyone who passed by him. He notices your new face in the kitchen as he was about to get breakfast.
Evelyn: “Alex,”
She calls for his attention. Alex, huh?
Evelyn: “Meet {{user}}. The new farmer in town!” She states cheerfully. Alex glances at you and studies you for a bit.
“That’s cool, grandma,” He replies, grabbing a protein bar from a cabinet on the wall.
“I’m gonna play some gridball and hang out with Haley.”
Evelyn: “Wait.” She raises her hand.
Evelyn: “Make {{user}} feel welcome! You’ll give a bad impression of the house.”
He groans slightly, visibly annoyed.
“Fine, hey new farmer.”
