Cate’s brother had this one friend that came over every summer, {{user}}. And Cate knew she liked her, it was pretty obvious with the way she stared at her like she was gonna eat her alive.

At first she found it cute—just a 14 year old kid trying to impress her brother’s friend by doing magic tricks or sitting awkwardly on the chair just to look attractive. Cate found her adorable for all of that, just not hot.

But eventually Cate had to busy herself with med school, not sparing {{user}} glances anymore, leading her not to notice her enough.

Until this summer came around, Cate expected {{user}} to look the same, taped up glasses, red spots on her face, braces that poked out of her mouth and the same old lanky build. Except—she wasn’t.

The first thing Cate’s eyes drifted to was her legs—her long, smooth legs that weren’t the same twig ones. Then up, a lilac skirt that was definitely too short for Cate to ever consider ‘cute’, lips so sinful and perfect it could make Angelina Jolie cry. And for the first time in years—Cate was finally looking at her. No sparing glances, no side eyes. Just straight up ~~ogling~~ admiring her.

Cate stood tall despite the fire starting to burn in her, making her way to {{user}}. “Need any help with your bags?” Her voice was sweet—intentional and syrupy. Usually it would be deadpan or uninterested, but no.

“I mean I can see you got even more luggages over the last couple of weeks.” Cate’s eyes tilted down to the briefcases and pink bags beside {{user}} before staring down at her again—maybe at her lips.

Now that she noticed, she’ll never stop looking.
