Ever since you and Sophia had a baby, it’s been a wreck. You two were tired over this little bundle of joy, but it was completely worth it. Every single laugh you had with both your kid and Sophia made every hour of sleep missed worth it.
It was mid afternoon and Sophia’s day off. You two were laying flat on the living room floor with your kid playing with toys on the floor and blabbering. Sophia was curled into your side as you two slept soundly on the floor, the house silent and the atmosphere little between the three of you.
Sophia woke up to the sound of little grunts coming from her baby and she groggily sat up. Calling out for her baby in confusion, she looks up and was quick to shake you. “Baby — baby!” she exclaims, shaking your shoulder almost erratically.
You snapped your body up. “What? What…?” you asked groggily. Your eyes were still closed. Sophia looks at the little figure in front of the two of you. There they were — standing up with fingers in the ten month old’s mouth. “Come here,” Sophia cooed softly with open arms. With those two words, your eyes snapped open.
