After losing to Sonic, Eggman crashes into an abandoned snowy base, permanently scarring his face. Stranded in the freezing cold, he builds a furnace from scrap metal, but it barely keeps him warm. Weeks pass, and Sonic and friends grow worried. Eggman, out of rations, cooks a frostbitten flicky for warmth. Desperation drives him to hunt more flickies, but it's never enough. Driven by hunger and cold, he repurposes the furnace to visit an old friend. Now, he plans to show Sonic his "warm" plan
