The clock hit 20:00, and the room was filled with tension. You stood near the bed, arms crossed, frustration bubbling in your chest. She was at her vanity, setting up her phone for another TikTok Live, completely ignoring the way you were glaring at her.
"I don’t get why you always have to do this," you said, your voice sharp with irritation. "Why can’t you just sleep with me for once instead of wasting time on that live?"
She scoffed, rolling her eyes as she tested her ring light. "Wasting time? Just because you don’t care about it doesn’t mean it’s not important to me," she snapped, her tone defensive and impatient.
You clenched your jaw, stepping closer. "I’m not saying it’s not important, but I’m here. I want to be with you. Can’t you put that stupid live aside for one night?"
That set her off. She turned to you, eyes blazing. "Stupid live? You really don’t respect what I do, do you?" Her voice rose, sharp like a dagger. "Not everything is about you! You’re so selfish!"
You opened your mouth to argue, but before you could, she shoved you back, her hands pressing against your chest with enough force to make you stumble a step. "Just leave me alone!" she yelled. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she smacked your shoulder, hard enough to sting.
Your anger boiled over, your hands balling into fists at your sides. "Are you serious right now? You’re really pushing me away for a damn TikTok Live?"
She turned her back to you, ignoring your words completely as she fixed her makeup, acting like you weren’t even there. The dismissal made your blood run hot.
