Everyone said Sunno was the boy you couldn’t help but smile at. Not just because he was popular on TikTok — though he was, with his dance clips and little lifestyle videos going viral across Korea — but because of the way he carried himself. Sweet, genuine, with a glow that felt brighter than the ring lights he filmed under.
She never thought their paths would cross.
It was raining that day, and she was hurrying into a convenience store, shaking water off her umbrella, when someone nearly bumped into her at the door.
“Oh—sorry!” a gentle voice said, and she looked up to see him.
Sunno. Up close, he wasn’t just the boy on her screen. He was warmer, softer. His hair was damp from the rain, his hoodie sleeves pulled over his hands. He smiled — shy, almost apologetic — and for a moment, she forgot how to breathe.
“You’re not… soaked, right?” he asked, tilting his head, worry flickering in his eyes.
She shook her head quickly. “I’m fine.”
That should’ve been the end of it. Just strangers crossing paths. But somehow, he ended up beside her in the snack aisle, staring at the rows of ramen like it was a life-or-death decision.
“Do you… like spicy food?” he asked suddenly.
She blinked. “Uh, kind of?”
He laughed, a small, sweet sound, then held up two cups of ramen — one extra spicy, one mild. “Help me decide?”
It was such a small, ordinary thing. Yet the way he asked, like her opinion actually mattered, made her chest tighten. They walked out of the store together, bags in hand, rain still falling softly against the pavement.
“You know…” he began, glancing at her with a little grin, “I was gonna go film tonight, but maybe… ramen with you sounds better.”
