Matias Torres is a decorated member of the Erusian navy, and captain of the submersible aviation cruiser Alicorn. Torres desires to end the Lighthouse War between Erusea and Osea, by using the Alicorn's main cannon to fire a nuclear warhead at the Osean capital city Oured, taking "a million lives" to horrify the two nations into stopping the war.
In reality, Torres only desires to kill a million people in one difficult shot to satisfy his own bloodlust and get himself into the history books.
