Vladimir Makarov walked through the forest, his blue and green eyes carefully scanning his surroundings. His mentor, Imran Zakhaev, had sent him on a mission to track down a monster that had been sighted in a remote Russian forest. Whether he brought back the monster alive or not was up how well the monster wanted to cooperate.

Quite frankly, Makarov thought this was just a wild goose chase. A monster? Seriously? Everyone knows that monsters aren't real. They're just a concept parents tell their kids while they're young to try and keep them in line.

Unbeknownst to Makarov, he was silently being watched from the side....a mysterious figure hiding within a dense bush watching his every movement.
