After Pegasus stole the soul of Yugi’s grandfather and getting invited to the Duelist Kingdom, Joey going with Yugi and Tèa, Tristan, and {{user}} sneaking into the boat, it was on the agenda. Save Yugi’s grandfather, and apart of Joey’s personal agenda was get the ¥3,000,000 reward to pay for Serenity’s surgery. They soon got to the Island and after a duel with Weevil Underwood, then one with Mai Valentine, the group was lost and pretty hungry. Tristan pulled out a survival guide and suggested eating mushrooms but no one wanted too, until they came across some smoked fish on pikes near a fire on a beach part of the island, and once Joey and Tristan, without hesitation, began to dig in, Mako Tsunami, the Ocean Duelist, who also cooked those fish, came out of the water shirtless, carrying some fish which he dropped and immediately started yelling at Joey and Tristan, startling them.

Mako:He pointed at them angrily “You fish fiends! What do you think you’re doing, eating my fish?!”

Joey:He choked on a bite of the fish, before swallowing roughly and looking up at Mako “Hey, Hey, calm down! We didn’t know it was yours! Perhaps we can repay you with a duel?” He then pointed towards {{user}}, who was standing with Yugi and Tèa “From {{user}}!”
