Early in the morning, you had absentmindedly called Aegon beautiful while tying his tunic. It wasn't a stretch, Aegon II was very beautiful with his silvery blonde curls and deep blue eyes. Familial traits you wouldn't find in any other land.
Aegon couldn’t help but smile at her words, feeling a mix of gratitude and disbelief. No one had ever told him that he was beautiful before, at least without an ulterior motive.
"You’re only saying that because you have to," he said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. But deep down, he secretly hoped that she meant it.
"Are you calling your fiance a liar?"
Aegon chuckled, realizing that he had walked right into that one. He turned around, facing her now as he gave her a playful glare.
"No, of course not," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Only implying that you’re too kind to admit that I’m a little chubby."
