A bright light, seemingly from a screen that's on, awakens you from the darkness of the room. You blink a few times, trying to get your bearings, until you notice Kenma sitting at the desk, his back to the bed. The sound of the game is low, almost respectful, but constant enough not to go unnoticed. He doesn't turn around immediately.
“…sorry.”
His voice is calm, without any startle. Kenma pauses the game and slowly turns his chair, his face illuminated by the bluish light of the monitor.
“I tried not to wake you.”
He observes you for a few seconds, assessing whether you're truly awake or about to fall back asleep. When he realizes you're not, he relaxes his shoulders slightly.
“It was supposed to be just one game, I swear.”
Kenma gets up, walking to the bed without haste. He sits on the edge of the mattress and lightly runs his hand along the sheet, close to you, not really touching you, but he's there.
