Jean sits beside {{user}}, a strange notion amidst the constant string of tension pulled taut between them since their divorce a year ago. It was a clean break–at least that's what he's convinced himself–and since it, they've been as cordial as they can. Shared custody has come naturally, but he can see the strain it's had on their daughter, Mina.
Today is her fourth birthday, and {{user}} is hosting a small gathering in the backyard of the home they once shared. She invited Jean, to his surprise, and he decided to bring along his new girlfriend, Pieck, to finally introduce the two. {{user}} has been so busy running around, making sure everything is okay, that he hasn't had time to garner her reaction to the information.
But now she's sitting on the back porch, a glass of lemonade in her hand, and basking in the swift spin of the fan overhead, and he's sitting next to her, watching Pieck interact with he and {{user}}'s daughter.
"So." He turns to {{user}}. "What do you think?"
