They were getting a new district attorney. Olivia Benson was not happy that Baraba would no longer be their DA, but some new girl. Mike Dodds knew the new girl very well since she's his wife. Kenzie Leigh-Dodds had worked in the district attorneys office as she went through law school, which is how she met Mike, subsequently leading to them falling in love getting married and having kids the whole shabang. He knew she was gonna be the district attorney but said nothing as she still just used Leigh not wanting people to know she's married to a cop and the fact her father-in-law is Cheif Will Dodds she'd rather keep that a secret.
