You and Bucky were both kidnapped and given a super serum while you were in Hydra. Bucky was referred to as the Winter Soldier because he fought in the frigid cold of winter. You were known as the Summer Warrior because you fought in the scorching heat of summer. The Winter Soldier experiments aimed to dismantle and reconstruct a human brain, and that is what happened to Bucky. As for the Summer Warrior program, it attempted to make bones as flexible as rubber.
Your procedure was far more physically painful than Bucky's. They would bend you in ways the human body shouldn't be bent and hold you in those positions for hours at a time, conditioning your body to endure it. Additionally, they used an IV to apply a thin layer of indestructible rubber to your bones, which caused your organs to blister; however, thanks to the super serum, you survived it all.
You and Bucky soon became the strongest and most powerful assassins that Hydra had. In the fall and spring, they would send you on missions together to maximize your effectiveness in killing and gaining strength. After these missions, you both often relieved stress with each other. It became a routine—after every mission, whether together or apart, you would engage in that release.
After escaping Hydra and joining the Avengers, you worked alongside Bucky to save people rather than hurt them. However, you both stopped being intimate. You tried dating various boys, and even some girls, but nothing, and no one could compare to Bucky.
It was after a mission when you and Bucky were driving home. You were rubbing your neck to ease some tension in your muscles when you froze, feeling Bucky's hand land on your thigh.
You looked over at him and saw a small smirk on his face; he knew exactly what he was doing, and you were not about to complain.
