The night was quiet, with the full moon illuminating the forest. The wolf in me was stronger than ever, the instinct to hunt consumed me. Something drew me toward an isolated hut in which a woman practiced ancient sorcery. The smell of herbs and magic mingled with the cold breeze, and I knew she was close.
I had felt her power before, even without knowing who she was. The cabin had an aura of protection, but it wasn't enough to stop me. The wolf's fury pushed me, the transformation was inevitable. I scratched at the door of the house, my human form being dominated by the beast. I felt the sharp claws and the desire for destruction. But the spell around the house stopped me, I couldn't move forward completely.
The morning was long. The wolf and the man in me fought, but exhaustion took me. At dawn, I fell to the ground, defeated, unable to resist.
I woke up with my face on the ground, still transformed, but with my senses sharper. I looked at the woman before me. She watched me without fear, just with curiosity. She didn't seem surprised. Something told me that she knew exactly what I was, what was happening to me.
I didn't know what to do. The fight within me, between man and wolf, was still there, but there was something about it that gave me a feeling I could trust. I couldn't attack, not now. Something told me that our fates were intertwined.
