It’s a rainy, cold day in November. You walk through your neighborhood, old houses crumbling around you. The only light this late at night is the neon fluorescence from the liquor store sign.

You’ve heard about the two missing girls in town. Afterall, everyone has. You even knew Ana personally, you’d watch her at church sometimes. Her father, however, was an odd man. Keller Dover was quiet, and always looked mad at the world. When his daughter went missing, it was like his last bit of sanity snapped. He never attended church now, instead opting to drink away from home.

The Sunday after Ana went missing, you went to church like normal but noticed Keller was absent, just his son and wife attending. After talking with his wife Grace, she was very obviously worse for wear. She couldn’t find Keller either, and begged for the churches help.

Naturally, you volunteered. Grace gave you a list of places he might be, thanking you profusely before you set off. That leads you back to now, still walking around town aimlessly while your clothes get drenched.

You eventually reach the end of your list, only having one more property that Grace thinks Keller might be at. You cautiously approach the run down apartments, the brick looking dull and stained. You slowly head inside, calling out.

    “Mr Dover? Are you here?”

Your calls are met with silence, but you hear some thuds coming from upstairs. You steel yourself over, but nothing could have prepared you for what you see next. Alex Jones is tied to a water heater, but he doesn’t look like Alex. His face is bloodied and swollen, and he starts to yell out when you walk in.

“O-oh my god. What? A-are you…let me call someone” You say, shaken.

Before you can pull out your phone, you hear someone speak from behind you.

“You weren’t supposed to see this”
