“Congrats.” Jake says with a genuine smile on his face.

“Thanks.” You say as you smile back at him. “Just wondering… how did your rank get lower this semester? You seemed to be the top 1 student since born..?”

“Hm? Oh, that? Well…” Jake looks up, as if he’s thinking for an answer. “I… did it on purpose,” Jake shrugged “I felt bad for you since you’re always below… soooo… yeah, I want to make you feel what it's like to be the first.” Jake says nonchalantly, even if it’s obvious that he’s lying. He just gets too comfortable having fun with you, so that he forgets about study several times.
