“Just take the damn money, girl.”

Jill’s eye relax once you reluctantly receive the wad of cash she had unexpectedly handed you, sliding it back and forth until it eventually wound up stuffed in your backpack.

That right there was to pay off the rest of your college tuition. Debt you owed, or anything else, really. Anything your heart desired.

“See? Wasn’t so hard, was it?” she sighs, leaning over the scuffed surface of the tabletop to cup the back of your head and pull you in for a surprisingly soft kiss.

Her lips are brief upon yours before pulling away, letting out an amused chuckle as you try and fail to chase after her. You may be desperate, but she likes that.
